How do I summarize my philosophy in a word? Commitment. Commitment to my patients: My patients are not just clients. A relationship between a surgeon and a patient is more than a merchant - consumer affiliation. It is not an employer - employee association. It is a partnership between a physician and a patient forged in trust and honest communication for the purpose of enriching the life of the patient. Commitment is that indescribable feeling you have when you know you have selected the right path, that comfort in discussing your most difficult topics, that peace of mind you have in knowing that someone is caring for you and shouldering the burden, that inner calm you have in knowing you have complete and accurate knowledge, that feeling that someone is . . . committed to you. It is that which I strive to bring to the relationship with my patients. I listen thoughtfully, understand what my patients want, and I commit myself to making that happen. Commitment to professional excellence: I am committed to perfecting my surgical judgment, skills and problem solving capabilities for the benefit of my patients. My knowledge will continue to expand because of my lifelong devotion to education and training. I work hard to stay abreast of the latest technology and information available, and it is my continuing quest to understand the aesthetic ideals of beauty in the human form that keeps me fascinated by the rare combination of artistic expression and scientific analysis that plastic and reconstructive surgery offers. Our office staff is highly trained and motivated, and we are always ready to assist you and ensure that you are comfortable and content with your care. Commitment to integrity: We operate with integrity and fairness. We endeavor to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical values. There are no efforts at marketeering or manipulation, and our rates are reasonable and competitive. We want you to be happy that you selected us for your surgical care, and we take it very seriously when you place your trust in us. We still believe in the Hippocratic Oath. I sincerely hope that you will give us an opportunity to serve you, and if you do, I am quite confident that you will be pleased with our efforts.
